Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s Birthday

Andhra State’s first speaker Nallapati Venkataramaiah Birth Anniversary

The first Speaker of Andhra State was Nallapati Venkataramaiah. He was born in 1901 in Jonnalagadda village near Narasaraopet in Palnadu district. In 1952, he contested against Kasu Vengala Reddy from the Narasaraopet constituency and won as a legislator. On October 1, 1953, Venkataramaiah was elected to the post of Speaker and won against Kandavalli Krisha Rao. Venkataramaiah went down in history as the first Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.

Singer Karunya’s Birthday

Famous playback singer N.C. Karunya was born on March 1, 1986. He was trained in music from the age of four. After completing his engineering education, he devoted full time to music. He became popular as the winner of the ‘Paduta Tiyaga’ program organized on ETV. Later he sang songs for many movies. Former Maharashtra CM Vasantrao Banduji Patil died on March 1, 1989. He was born on 13 November 1917 in Sangli area of Mumbai. Active in politics since 1937. From 1972 to 1976, he served as a minister in the cabinet of Chief Minister Vasantha Rao Naik. After that, he served three times as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra between 1976 and 1985. Elected to the Lok Sabha for the 7th time from Sangli Lok Sabha constituency in 1980.

Death of Taduri Bala Goud

Ex-MP of Nizamabad Lok Sabha Taduri Bala Goud died on March 1, 2010. He was born on October 2, 1931 in Ailapuram, Lingampeta Mandal, Nizamabad District. He served as a minister in the united Andhra Pradesh government. In 1978, he was elected to the assembly as a Congress candidate from the Ellareddy constituency and served as a state minister in the ministries of T Anjaiah and Bhavanam Venkataraman Reddy till 1982. He contested from the same constituency in 1983 and lost. Elected to Parliament from Nizamabad constituency for two terms in 1984 and 1989.
