Today Is DR B.R Ambedkar’s Death Anniversary

Honourable Dr Bhimrao Ranji Ambedkar gave the Constitution to India. He was born on April 14, 1891, in Mau, a village in the present state of Madhya Pradesh. His parents were Ramji Maloji Sakpal and Bhimabai. He became a prominent lawyer, economist and social reformer. He worked hard to eradicate untouchability and caste discrimination in the society.

He studied in India and abroad. He received his PhD from Columbia University and his PhD from London University. He has also done much research on legal, social and economic sciences. He also served as India’s first Law Minister and framed the Constitution. Converted to Buddhism in 1956.

Ambedkar’s first wife was Ramadevi; she died in 1935. At the age of 56, Ambedkar married Sharda Kabir from a Brahmin family for the second time. He died on December 6, 1956. The area where Ambedkar was cremated was called Chaitya Bhoomi, and a memorial statue was built in that location.
