Bumrah’s Participation in Fourth Test Uncertain: What’s Behind the Decision?

India, currently leading 2-1, aims to secure the series 3-1 by winning the Ranchi Test, treating this match with great significance.

India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is reportedly set to miss the fourth Test against England. Due to the high workload, this star pacer is reportedly set to be rested. Although Bumrah is fit, the team management wants to reduce the workload on him. After the Test series, Indian players have to participate in the IPL and T20 World Cup. It is crucial for Team India that Bumrah remains fit in the upcoming three months. With this, there are high chances of this star pacer missing the fourth Test to be held in Ranchi.

The fourth Test will take place from March 23 to 27. Bumrah has been selected as the vice-captain for the last three Tests against England. India currently leads the 5-Test series 2-1. If India loses the fourth Test, there’s a chance that Bumrah could be brought back into the team for the fifth Test. Although there was consideration to rest Bumrah for the third Test, it seems he played in the Rajkot Test due to a 10-day break before the match.
