CWC 2023: Australia Thrash Netherlands In Biggest World Cup Victory!

Australia registered their third consecutive win in the World Cup. The team defeated the Netherlands by 309 runs in a one-sided match on Wednesday. Maxwell (106 of 44 balls) scored the fastest century in the history of the World Cup as Australia scored 399 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Warner (104) also hit a century. Smith (71) and Labuschagne (62) excelled. The Netherlands simply could not compete against Australia’s blitz. As Australian bowlers Zampa (4/8) and Mitchell Marsh (2/19) excelled, the Netherlands were bowled out for 90 runs in 21 overs. Vikramjeet Singh (25) was the top scorer.

There is no doubt that Australia’s victory was sealed before the Netherlands batted. The only interest is whether the Dutch team will shine with the bat. But nothing like that happened. The team fell apart in the face of this massive target. They bowed down to the kangaroo bowlers. Not one of them could take their bat through the innings. The fall that started when Starc clean bowled Max O’Dowd (6) in the fifth over did not stop at any stage. Vikramjeet (25), Ackerman (10), de Leede (4), Engelbrecht (11) and Teja Nidamanuru (14) queued for the pavilion. The tailenders showed no resistance as well. With this, Australia achieved the biggest victory in the history of the World Cup.
