Team India is smashing it in the ODI World Cup 2023. India won five in five and jumped to the first position in the points table. India won the match against New Zealand in Dharamsala by four wickets on Sunday with contributions from batsmen as well as bowlers. After losing the toss and batting first, the Kiwis were bowled out for 273 runs in the allotted 50 overs. Daryl Michel (127) registered a century. Pacer Mohammad Shami took 5 wickets in his first match of this World Cup. With this, he became the only Indian bowler to take five wickets for the second time in the history of the World Cup. It must be said that the highlight of this match was the yorker Shami bowled to Santner earlier. Similarly, he took other wickets at crucial times. While the Kiwis expected to cross 300, Shami’s bowling restricted them to 273 runs. With this performance, Shami got the ‘Man of the Match’ award.
