England Faces Early Setbacks in Dharamshala Test

England is off to a strong start in the Dharamshala Test, effectively countering Indian bowlers in the first session. By lunch, England lost 2 wickets, scoring 100 runs. Openers Crawley (61) and Root (0) are at the crease. Ben Duckett and Pope were dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav after scoring 27 and 11 runs, respectively.

Winning the toss and opting to bat, England’s openers Crawley and Ben Duckett provided a solid start as usual. Initially playing cautiously, they gradually accelerated, facing the bowling of Bumrah and Siraj effortlessly and showering boundaries. At this juncture, spinner Kuldeep Yadav brought a much-needed breakthrough for the Indian team. After contributing 64 runs for the first wicket, Duckett attempted a big shot and got out.

Shubman Gill’s stunning catch secured a crucial wicket for India. Following that, Crawley, along with the newly arrived Pope, added 36 runs to the scoreboard, taking the score to 100. At this juncture, Kuldeep Yadav once again worked his magic. He dismissed Pope, providing Team India with their second wicket.
