England Stunned as Rehan Ahmed Exits Series: Key Player Out

England’s young spinner, Rehan Ahmed, has pulled out of the ongoing Test series against India, citing personal reasons. A rookie spinner will step in for Ahmed Replacement in the upcoming fourth Test at the JCA Cricket Stadium Complex in Ranchi. The England Cricket Board (ECB) announced via X (Twitter) that Ahmed will also miss the final fifth Test at Dharamsala.

Ahmed participated in the first three matches of the ongoing Test series against India, held in Hyderabad, Vizag, and Rajkot. He managed to secure 11 wickets and scored 76 runs during his batting performances. Unfortunately, lead spinner Jack Leach sustained an injury after the second Test and is now out for the rest of the series. With both spinners absent, England faces a significant setback. Additionally, before the series, young batsman Harry Brooke also missed out due to personal reasons.

In the ongoing fourth Test match between India and England in Ranchi, England batted first after winning the toss. However, they faced difficulties, losing 5 wickets in the initial session. Currently, England has scored 164 runs with 5 wickets down in 44 overs. Ben Folks (18) and Root (47) are currently batting. Akash Deep took three wickets for India, while Ashwin and Jadeja also contributed with wickets.
