Currently, KL Rahul and Siraj are at the crease. South Africa, who won the toss, chose to bowl first. The Protea bowlers got the upper hand against the Indian batsmen with some unplayable bowling. Rain and cloudy weather on the other hand made it difficult for India to bat as the pitch turned favourable to the pacers. Especially the star pacer Kagiso Rabada exploded with 5 wickets. Along with Rabada, Burger got 2 and Marco Jansen got 1 wicket respectively. Among the Indian batsmen, while all other batsmen failed to cross 40 runs, KL Rahul (80) played a brilliant Test match knock and remained not out at the end of the day. He played some marvellous counter-attacking shots when he got the chance and showed air-tight defence throughout. Virat Kohli scored 38 and Shreyas Iyer scored 31 runs. On the other hand, Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma and Gill were very disappointing in this innings.
