India win 4th Test against England to clinch series 3-1

India won the fourth Test against England at Ranchi. The target set by the opposing team was easily achieved. India came into the ring with a target of 192 runs in the second innings and won by 5 wickets. Rohit Sharma (55), Yashaswi Jaiswal (11), Gill (52 not out), Rajat Patidar (0), Ravindra Jadeja (4), Sarfaraz Khan (0), Jurel (39 not out) scored runs. Shoaib Bashir, Tom Hartley and Joe Root took 3 wickets each among England bowlers.

India clinches the series 3-1

India, who started the innings on the fourth day with an overnight score of 40, lost three wickets for 100 runs with the boom of Bashir and Hurtle. At this stage, Jadeja and Gill added 20 runs in 71 balls for the fourth wicket. Bashir struck again in the second over after lunch. Apart from getting Jadeja out, he got Sarfaraz Khan (0) the very next ball for a duck and put India in trouble. Towards the end, Gill (52) was joined by Jurel (37) and the victory was easy. With this victory, India won the series 3-1 with one match remaining.
