Massive Revenue from India-England Test at Uppal Stadium

Cricket had occupied a special place in the hearts of Hyderabadis. Regardless of the country or player, a stellar performance on the cricket field is met with thunderous applause and admiration, elevating players to new heights of glory. The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad, served as the venue for the first test match in the five-match test series between India and England. In this test match, India faced an unexpected defeat, leading to a drop to the fifth position in the World Test Championship points table.

The organizers at the Uppal Stadium have meticulously arranged all sorts of facilities for the second test match between India and England. Cricket lovers from all corners of the city flocked in large numbers to watch the test match that spanned over five days. Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) President Jaganmohan Rao shared on Twitter that a large number of people came to watch the historic test match in Hyderabad each day. On the first day of the match, 25,000 people attended, followed by 32,000 on the second day, 31,000 on the third day, and 30,000 people on the fourth day. He mentioned that a single Test match generated an income of Rs 4.25 crores.
