Mistake In The IPL 2024 Auction: Decision Can’t Be Changed

The Punjab Kings franchise made a mistake in the IPL 2024 auction held in Dubai. They bought a player by mistake, they acquired Indian cricketer Shashank Singh at a base price of Rs.20 lakhs. Actually, the Punjab Kings are not planning to take Shashank Singh. However, during the auction, Preity Zinta’s team accidentally bought Shashank. Soon, Punjab ownership realized the mistake.

The Punjab franchise admitted that there was a mistake in the purchase of Chhattisgarh player Shashank Singh. While the auction was going on for the less important players, Preity Zinta’s team realized that Shashank was bought instead of another player. However, Auctioneer Mallika said that once a player is sold, that decision can’t be taken back.
