Shreyas Iyer Misleads BCCI with Fabricated Injury, Skips Ranji Trophy

Providing false information to BCCI, Indian young batsman Shreyas Iyer has been caught in a predicament. Shreyas Iyer was not selected for the Indian team announced for the last three Tests against England. Initially, it was reported that he was given rest due to an injury. However, it was later revealed that injury was not the main reason for his exclusion. Selectors dropped Shreyas Iyer due to his failure to score runs. He visited the National Cricket Academy (NCA) citing a back injury and used it as an excuse to withdraw from the Ranji Trophy. Starting from Friday, the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals between Mumbai and Baroda will take place, but Iyer will not be available, as announced by the Mumbai Association. However, the latest report provided by NCA officials to the BCCI contradicts Iyer’s statements.

NCA officials have reported to the BCCI that Iyer has no injury and is fully fit. This situation has led to severe criticism of Iyer’s adamant attitude, with netizens accusing him of behaving this way with an eye on the IPL. Young wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan is also following the same path, staying away from the Ranji Trophy.
