Movie Review: Animal

Sandeep Reddy, who registered a sensational success with his first film ‘Arjun Reddy’, has now released the pan-India film ‘Animal’. It was made in multiple languages and released this Friday. There are huge expectations for the movie as the hype has increased with the teaser and trailer. How is the ‘Animal’ starring Bollywood hero Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika, and other top Bollywood actors? Is it another blockbuster like Arjun Reddy?

Story

This is a story of father and son. Head of Swastik Steels Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor) is the wealthiest man in the country. His son is Rann Vijay (Ranbir Kapoor ), who is aggressive and has had a lot of love for his father since childhood. But Balbir Singh could not bond with his son as he was immersed in business life. This situation creates a gap between father and son. Rann Vijay (Ranbir Kapoor ) marries the girl he loves, Geetanjali (Rashmika), and moves to America as his father disapproves of the marriage. After a while, there was an assassination attempt on Balbir Singh; then Rann Vijay came to India along with his wife and children. What happened afterwards? Who is behind the Balbir Singh’s assassination attempt? Did Balbir Singh and Rann Vijay get together? The rest of the plot deals with these things.

Analysis

Sandeep Reddy, who directed the sensational successful movie Arjun Reddy, chose a story that belongs to the same category. This time, he made this film based on the father and son relationship. Sandeep Reddy coordinated and handled the writing, directing and editing duties as well. There is some lag in the movie, and except for some routine scenes, the movie is engaging. Massive action sequences will impress the audience, while some scenes remind us of Arjun Reddy. If you miss the beginning of the movie, the rest of the story may not make sense. And the climax is unexpected.

Artist Performance

Ranbir Kapoor, who appeared as a Lover boy and chocolate boy in the past, now appears in a rough character. Ranbir Kapoor excelled in this different role. He sharpened his performance by acting in different angles. Ranbir Kapoor’s pairing with Rashmika is good. Rashmika looks beautiful even when she acted as a mother of two children. Anil Kapoor did justice to the role of the father and brought life to the iconic scenes of the movie with his performance. Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Prithviraj, Siddhant Karnick and others have done justice to their roles.

Technical Aspects

‘Animal’ was shot as an eye feast. The background music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar is apt for the scenes. Sandeep Reddy’s direction made the movie stand out. Sandeep Reddy, who also carried the weight of editing responsibilities, maintained the flow without any errors.
