Setback For BRS! Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao Will Join Congress Today
In a big setback for the BRS party ahead of the assembly polls in Telangana, Malkajigiri BRS MLA Mainampalli Hanmantha Rao will join Congress today. Meanwhile, TPCC chief Revanth Reddy, Malkajigiri MLA Mainampally, and his son Rohit Reddy went to New Delhi. Malkajigiri MLA Mainampalli has already resigned from BRS on September 23rd.
However, there was no positive response from the BRS leadership regarding the Medak ticket, and Mainampally decided to join Congress. To this extent, Malkajigiri MLA Mainampalli went to Delhi along with TPPC Chief Revanth Reddy. Mynampally, Hanmantha Rao will join the Congress party this evening in the presence of the top leaders of Congress.
In 2009, Mynampally Hanmantha Rao won as a TDP candidate from Medak. Mainampally joined the BRS before the 2014 polls. In 2014, Malkajigiri contested as a BRS candidate in the parliamentary elections and was defeated. In 2018, he contested as a BRS candidate from Malkajigiri and won.
In 2023, Mynampalli Hanmantha Rao got a ticket from Malkajigiri, but his son Rohit did not get a BRS from the Medak assembly seat. With this, Mainampally will join the Congress, and the Congress leadership is also willing to give two tickets.
