AP government will provide auto rickshaws at zero interest in the name of ‘Mahila Shakti’ to the women driving passenger autos. Empowering Women

This program under the name of Mahila Shakti was undertaken to give a helping hand to poor women who hope to grow. As per the target set for the current financial year, the selection of remaining beneficiaries is expected to be completed by Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, and the autos will be handed over to them. However, distribution will be done to the selected beneficiaries district-wise under the direction of the collectors in those districts.

Interest-free Loan; Financial Benefit Of One Lakh Fifty Thousand

Beneficiaries have to bear only 10% of the cost of auto purchases provided to women. But the remaining 90 per cent is provided by the government through SERP. This loan has the flexibility to repay the principal amount in 48 monthly instalments. In order to buy an auto, one has to pay monthly instalments of the loan from banks or other institutions. But with CM Jagan’s decision, 90 per cent of the loan provided to women was given as an interest-free loan, which enabled them to pay the amount in monthly instalments. This will provide one lakh fifty thousand financial benefit to the beneficiaries.
