AP Budget Sessions Day 3: Key Bills Set for Introduction

The budget sessions of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly have commenced their third day. The Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister, Buggana Rajendranath, is set to introduce the vote-on-account budget at 11:03 AM today. Annual reports from various departments will be presented before the assembly. The government plans to introduce an interim budget because of the upcoming state elections. The Finance Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Buggana Rajendranath, has formulated a vote-on-account budget for a period of three months.

These are the three bills

The government is set to introduce three bills in the legislative assembly. They are:

  1. The RJUKT University Amendment Bill-2024.
  2. The AP Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfer Amendment) Bill-2024.
  3. The AP Employees Appointments, Regularization, and Rationalization Amendment Bill-2024 (Regularization of Appointments to Public Services and Regularization of Staff Patterns and Pay Structure Amendment Bill).

The Confusion in the Assembly continues

After the commencement of the third day of sessions in the assembly, chaos ensued once again. Even today, TDP members charged into the well towards Speaker Tammineni. They disrupted the proceedings of the assembly and demanded a discussion on farmers’ issues. Some members tore papers and threw them at the Speaker. Earlier, the cabinet approved the vote-on-account budget, which prioritizes agriculture significantly.
