Another Big Shock For BRS.. Mothkupalli Narasimhulu Will Join Congress
Telangana’s political landscape is undergoing swift changes as elections draw near. Leaders who feel overlooked within their current parties are making strategic switches to align with more favorable options. The BRS party is poised to face a significant setback in the newly united Nalgonda district as former minister Motkupalli Narsimhu is set to join the ranks of the Congress party in the near future.
The Congress party’s strategy involves welcoming senior leaders and dissidents from various parties into its ranks to challenge the BRS. In line with this strategy, party leaders have expressed interest in bringing senior leader Motkupalli Narsimhulu into the Congress fold in the newly united Nalgonda district. As part of this effort, political discussions were conducted at the central level in Bangalore, marking the initiation of the discussions.
Following Motkupalli Narsimhu’s meeting with Karnataka Deputy CM DK Sivakumar in Bangalore, his potential inclusion in the Congress party has gained significant importance. It is reported that Motkupalli is expected to formally join the Congress party in the first week of October. Notably, Motkupalli has secured victory five times from the Aleru Constituency and once from the Tungaturthi Constituency, making a total of six terms as an MLA. He also possesses the experience of serving as a minister during NTR’s tenure.
Motkupalli expressed his discontent, stating that after CM KCR initially sought his input on the Dalitbandhu scheme, he was not accorded priority and was denied an appointment for further discussions. In light of this, Congress leaders have reached out to him in an effort to bring him into their fold. Congress party leaders are eager to enlist Motkupalli and nominate him to contest from Tungathurthi, a constituency reserved for Scheduled Castes.
Narsimhu’s remarks, in which he expressed feeling deceived by placing trust in CM KCR, have left no doubt about his departure from the party. Motkupalli, who had grown disheartened due to his unfulfilled aspirations for the Aleru BRS seat, has been relatively inactive within the party for some time. However, Motkupalli is thinking of contesting as Congress candidate from Tungathurthi constituency.
