AP Government Colleges Surpass Private Institutions

The initiatives implemented by the YCP government to enhance the state’s education system have proven to be successful. Government degree colleges in the state are now being recognized for their commitment to the highest standards and quality education. The best example to prove this are the grades given by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Goverment Colleges On Par With Private Colleges!

While competing with private colleges in terms of the number of admissions, these government colleges are also providing ‘Future Readiness’ to theri students. Once upon a time, parents used to ignore government degree colleges, anxious to send their children. This situation was due to the lack of resources in the government colleges such as classrooms, laboratories, and adequate teaching resources. After the YSRCP government came into power, there have been revolutionary changes in the government schools. The number of government colleges is increasing on demand. The government colleges are also great recognition in NAAC accreditations.

More than 55 percent of seats have been filled

A total of 61 government degree colleges in the state secured NAAC certificates. Among them, 5 government and 2 aided colleges achieved the distinguished ‘A Plus’ rating. In this, Rajamahendravaram (Autonomous), Nagari, Visakhapatnam (Women), Repalle, Ongole (Women) government colleges, and Aided St. Theresa’s College for Women in Eluru, and V.N. Degree College in Narsapur have collectively achieved an ‘A Plus’ grade in NAAC accreditation. In terms of admissions, this year has seen a significant enrollment, with over 55% of seats being filled. Notably, Araku Degree College achieved full capacity with 100% admissions followed by Paderu with 99.70%, Chinthapalli with 97%, and Gummalakshmipuram with 92%. Additionally, government degree colleges in Rajamahendravaram, Guntur, and Nellore have been recognized with the prestigious ‘College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)’ status by UGC. Anantapur and Kadapa government degree colleges have earned the distinction of being selected as ‘DBT Star’ institutions.
