AP Government’s Election Code Decision Impacting DSC Exam

The AP government has made an important decision regarding the DSC examination. It has opted to postpone the 2024 DSC exam, citing the prevailing election code in AP. The decision was communicated through a statement on the official website of the education department. Currently, there is no specified date for the rescheduling of the exams. The government stated that further decisions would be made based on information received from the Election Commission.

As per the government’s initially announced schedule, the DSC exams were supposed to commence today. However, due to delays in obtaining permission from the Election Commission (EC), essential tasks such as selecting exam centres and releasing hall tickets had to be halted. Additionally, the results of the previously conducted TET exam remain pending. In this situation, if EC permission is granted before the elections, the TET results will be released accordingly. However, if permission is not obtained before the elections, the TET results will likely be withheld until after the electoral process is completed.
