APSRTC Offers Special Discount for Long-Distance Travelers
APSRTC has announced good news for its passengers. It has decided to offer a discount on ticket charges for travellers going to long distances. A 10% discount on tickets will be provided for Lahari AC sleeper and seater cum sleeper buses. This discount will be applicable until April 30, as per RTC officials. The discount applies to all routes operated by APSRTC Lahari buses. In the context of free bus travel for women being implemented in Telangana, TDP has already promised to provide free bus travel for women in AP as well.

While the RTC has been merged with the government in AP, it continues as a corporation in Telangana. The free bus travel scheme for women in Telangana has received mixed reactions. In the context of auto and taxi drivers protesting that their livelihoods are being affected, CM Revanth Reddy has assured them of support. It remains to be seen whether the free bus travel scheme for women will be implemented in AP amid these challenges.
