Chandrababu Criticizes Andhra Pradesh Police Department

TDP Chief and Former Chief Minister Chandrababu demanded the immediate voluntary retirement of the DGP, who is unable to control the deteriorating situation in the Andhra Pradesh Police Department. He criticized that the administrative systems in Andhra Pradesh have become entirely ineffective, and vehemently stated that only a reign of hooliganism under Jagan is prevailing everywhere in the state. He highlighted the occurrence of mining inspections carried out with lethal weapons in Marturu, and he mentioned the destruction caused by rowdy gangs in Krosuru, aided by police, as a sign of the state’s derailed administration.

Chandrababu criticized that in Krosuru, the MLA’s son, along with hundreds of people, attacked public properties and instead of taking action, the police collaborated with them. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his strong opinion that the DGP should immediately consider voluntary retirement, given the alarming decline of the Andhra Pradesh police department, a force that was once a source of national pride but is now seemingly falling apart. He criticized the district SPs for failing to correct the wrongdoings of lower-level officers and instead becoming complicit in the chaos. He suggested that officials, who are paid salaries from public funds, should work in adherence to the law.
