Future Skills In Government Schools: AP CM Spearheads The Project

AP government is taking steps towards achieving better educational standards and excellent results in government schools. To this extent, CM Jagan suggested that training should be provided to the children from the school level so that the students can excel internationally. As part of this, he issued orders to implement the International Baccalaureate Syllabus in schools in order to teach future skills to the students. He ordered it to be implemented under the supervision of APSCERT.

IB Syllabus In Two Years!

The IB syllabus will be introduced in the state from the academic year 2025-26. After introducing it first in the first class, it will be extended to other classes in another year. Efforts are being made to train teachers in this manner. As part of this, CM Jagan made several suggestions during the review of the education department at the CM’s camp office. He suggested that an initiative should be taken to make interactive flat panels available in every class in schools and the implementation of TOEFL should be better. He declared that while an average of 37.03 percent of the students write the exams in English medium across the country, 84.11 percent of the students in AP write the exams in English medium.

Foreign Languages From School Level

Students from the state are going all over the world for higher studies and jobs. To this extent, the government has taken measures to teach foreign languages starting from the school level. It suggested to the board to start teaching lessons on future skills to high school students from the next academic year. Mainly, foreign languages like Japanese, German, French, Spanish and Mandarin (China) will be taught. They announced that a special app is being brought for this purpose. A stipend will be given to the engineering college faculty who have expertise in providing training to the students will be given a stipend.

Special Training For Teachers

CM Jagan suggested that by the end of the year, interactive flat panels and internet should be made available in all schools in the state. Similarly, he is already attending the working group meetings as part of the implementation of the IB syllabus. The government is studying the details of the Phase-1 Curriculum, assessment, tuition calendar according to teachers’ training, etc. To this extent, the CM said that from next year, training will be provided to teachers on the IB syllabus system.
