Minister Roja clarifies on seat after Tirumala Darshan

Minister Roja visited the Tirumala Temple today. During the VIP Break Darshan in the morning, she participated in the service of Lord Venkateswara and offered her prayers. Meanwhile, the priests blessed her and gave prasad.

After coming out of the temple, Roja made some comments, in the presence of the media, that went viral. Minister Roja lashed out saying, “Some say that Roja will not get a ticket in the next election. I am on the front line of all the government programs, starting from every household in the state. I will definitely compete in the upcoming elections. Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan are conducting a survey in two constituencies each with fear of losing in their constituencies. I am a soldier of Jagananna. Those who work hard for the party will surely get a seat. We ministers cannot stay in one constituency. But we are in a position to influence two or three places. I have done a lot for the Nagari constituency. There is no doubt that I will get the ticket as a guarantee for that seat.” This way she countered rumours surrounding her seat.

However, when Roja contested from Chandragiri in 2009, when she was in TDP and lost, she got good a number of votes. Moreover, sitting MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy in Chandragiri is not willing to contest this time. With this, there is a possibility of giving the ticket to his son Mohit Reddy in his place. So it is heard that it is not surprising if Roja is given a ticket there. All in all, Minister Roja is confident that she will contest as an MLA.
