Supreme Court To Hear Chandrababu Petitions Today: Interest Around Bail

NEW DELHI: A crucial hearing will be held in the Supreme Court on Tuesday on the quash petition filed by former CM and TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development case in AP and the anticipatory bail petition filed in the Fibernet case.

In this background, there is excitement in Telugu states as well as across the country as to what will be revealed in the investigation. Meanwhile, Chandrababu, who was arrested in the skill development scam, is currently a remand prisoner in Rajahmundry Central Jail. At first he filed a quash petition in the ACB court claiming that his arrest was illegal but the case was dismissed. It is known that the challenge in the AP High Court was unsuccessful and hence the Supreme Court was approached.

Final Hearings In The Supreme Court

A two-judge bench consisting of Justice Aniruddha Bose and Justice Bela Trivedi will hear the arguments in this inquiry on Chandrababu’s Quash Petition in the Supreme Court. When the trial starts in the afternoon, senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi representing the AP government and Harish Salve, senior advocate representing Chandrababu will present their arguments.

It is worth noting that the arguments in this case are likely to end today. In this context, it would be interesting to note if the tribunal gives their judgement today or will it be reserved. Now excitement there is rising excitement in political circles regarding this scenario. Meanwhile, Supreme Court has Dussehra holidays after the 20th of this month. If the verdict is not delivered now, the fate of the case will be decided on November 1.

Judgement To Affect Other Cases – Creates Anticipation

Judicial circles are opining that the Supreme Court’s judgment on the application of Section 17A of ACB to Chandrababu’s case will be historic, and this case will have an impact on many other cases. This will become an example for many future judgments, they added.

According to section 17A, Chandrababu’s lawyers say that in order to arrest Chandrababu, one needs to take the prior permission of the governor. Chandrababu’s lawyers argue that section 17A of ACB is applicable in this case, but CID says that it is not applicable. However, whether Section 17A will be applicable to Chandrababu or not will be revealed soon.

Similarly, the Supreme Court will also hear the anticipatory bail petition filed by Chandrababu in the AP Fibernet case today. The question of whether he will he be granted bail or not is now capturing the attention of everyone.
