TDP and Janasena scam comes to light in the form of electoral bonds!

The recent disclosure of electoral bond transactions by SBI to the Supreme Court has uncovered a significant scam involving the TDP and Janasena parties. Many organizations have made substantial donations to these parties through electoral bonds. Notably, Janasena has actively competed with the TDP in securing these donations. Among the contributors to the TDP, Shirdi Sai Electronics Limited leads with a donation of Rs 40 crore, followed by Megha Engineering with Rs 28 crore. Other notable contributors include UP Power Transmission Company Limited (Rs 20 crore), Nocto Pharma Ltd. (Rs 14 crore), Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (Rs 13 crore), and Bharat Biotech International Ltd. (Rs 10 crore). Additionally, Sri Chaitanya, a prominent chain of educational institutions, has contributed Rs 1 crore to Janasena and Rs 5 crore to the TDP.

A huge conspiracy of Sri Chaitanya educational institutions

It appears that the management of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutes is strategically donating substantial amounts to both TDP and Janasena parties. Reports suggest that the organization aims to support the TDP-Janasena alliance’s bid for power in the forthcoming elections. Since the YSRCP assumed state leadership, Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy has prioritized educational reform, notably through the Nadu-Nedu scheme, which has significantly revamped school infrastructure, surpassing even corporate standards in government schools. Necessary educational materials are provided through the Jagananna Vidya Kanuka initiative, while nutritious meals under ‘Jagananna GoruMudda’ aim to bolster students’ health for academic success. Consequently, numerous corporate institutions statewide have experienced declines in admissions, prompting corresponding organizations to devise strategies to influence the upcoming elections in favour of the alliance. Reports suggest substantial funding contributions to both parties, alongside indications of an agreement wherein the Nadu-Nedu scheme would be abolished if the alliance assumes power.

Huge donations within two months to Janasena-TDP

Between October 2023 and mid-February, TDP received Rs 130 crores in donations, totalling Rs 212 crore. Notably, in January alone, 55 percent of the funding, approximately Rs 118 crore, was received. It’s significant to highlight that even the Janasena party, despite not being widely recognized, garnered substantial donations during elections. Janasena received Rs 22 crore in 2022, an additional two crore in 2023, and 17 crore in 2024, totalling Rs 41 crore through election bonds.
