YS Jagan’s Mega Completion Drive: Houses To All Poor

The AP state government has brought the Jagananna Housing Scheme with the aim of building houses for the homeless. Under this scheme, the dream of owning a house will come true for the poor of Andhra Pradesh. Houses will be distributed under the Jagananna Housing Scheme which is being ambitiously implemented by CM Jagan. It is known that recently in October house certificates were distributed for the construction of 5 lakh houses. At the latest, construction of another five lakh houses will be completed and house tracks will be distributed by next February. Beneficiaries are expressing joy as CM Jagan’s government is constructing houses with all facilities like a great yajna.

Special focus On Housing Drive

A mega completion drive will be held in the state regarding the construction of houses for the poor. This drive will be done from 1st December to 31st January. To this extent, the Collectors will pay special attention to completing the construction of 4.18 lakh houses at the basement, lental and roof level through the drive by the end of January. Meanwhile, village and ward volunteers will play a vital role in this drive. However, it seems that a special app is being made available to monitor the progress of the Mega Completion Drive.

Geo-tagging of House Progress

Volunteers will go to the beneficiaries’ houses once every 15 days and visit the houses four times at field level. To this extent, the volunteers will geo-tag the progress of the houses and upload the photos on the app. On the first visit, the volunteers will assess the material and labour requirements. The second time, the progress will be updated on the app, he said. For this, orders have been issued to hold mobilization meetings at the district level by the end of this month.

Periodic Visits

Volunteers will visit the houses of the beneficiaries in phases across the state. Meetings will be held at the level of mandal and urban local bodies on December 1 and at the secretariat level from December 4 to 6. After that, the first visit will be from December 7th to 14th, the second visit from 15th to 31st, the third visit from January 1st to 15th and the fourth visit from January 16th to 31st. A mega completion drive will be conducted to complete 4.18 lakh poor houses by the end of January. As part of this visit, the volunteers will upload geo-tagging photos in a special app. However, this is the first time that the government has given advance funds for the construction of houses for the poor.
