BJP, Shiv Sena-Uddhav, and NCP Struggle to Finalize Seat-Sharing in Maharashtra

As the Lok Sabha elections approach, politics in Maharashtra heat up again. The alliance in power in the state, MahaYuti (BJP, Shiv Sena-Shinde faction, NCP-Ajit Pawar faction), is unable to finalize seat sharing among themselves. While the Shiv Sena Shinde faction insists on more seats for their party, the BJP is adamant about contesting in the majority of constituencies. The NCP-Ajit Pawar faction is also unwilling to compromise, stating that they will contest in the majority of seats.

In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the differences between the two parties came to the forefront as the BJP allocated only 8 Lok Sabha seats to Shiv Sena. According to this agreement, the BJP intends to contest in at least four constituencies currently represented by Shiv Sena MPs. The NCP, led by Ajit Pawar, is also dissatisfied, stating that they were only offered 3 seats. In light of these issues regarding seat-sharing, there is a possibility of a meeting soon in New Delhi among the leaders of the three parties to find a resolution.
