Congress Election Committee Concludes Meeting: 4 MP Nominees Revealed

As the Lok Sabha elections approached, the Congress Election Committee held a crucial meeting yesterday to finalize candidate selection. They discussed strategies for the elections and the selection of candidates for pending positions. Under the leadership of party chief Mallikarjuna Kharge, a meeting took place at 6 pm in the AICC head office.

Congress leaders Sonia, Rahul, and KC Venugopal attended the meeting. From Telangana, PCC Chief CM Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti, and Minister Uttam were present at the CEC meeting. Candidates for 8 more seats in the state needed to be finalized. Out of a total of 17 seats, candidates have been declared in 9 places in two phases so far.

Candidates were finalized yesterday for the pending seats in Khammam, Bhuvanagiri, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Medak, Warangal, and Hyderabad. The high command attempted to reach a consensus on the selection of candidates in Khammam and Bhuvanagiri among the pending ones. As there were more aspirants in these two places, there had been a debate over who should be given the ticket.

From this meeting, 4 MP candidates have been announced. They are Jeevan Reddy from the Nizamabad constituency, Neelam Madhu from Medak, Athram Suguna from Adilabad, and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy from Bhuvanagiri. However, decisions for 4 more seats from Khammam, Warangal, Karimnagar, and Hyderabad are yet to be made.
