Karnataka BJP MP ties PM Indira, Sanjay’s deaths to Cow Slaughter!

Another BJP MP made controversial comments on the late leader and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Along with her, they muddled her son Sanjay Gandhi’s name too in these sensational comments and started a controversy. Former Union minister Ananth Kumar Hegde made these controversial comments regarding their death and cow slaughter. He alleged that Indira and Sanjay died due to a curse due to cow slaughter.

Uttara Kannada Constituency MP Ananth Kumar reacted to the deaths of Indira and Sanjay in a program held on Sunday in Karnataka. On this occasion, he said, “During Indira Gandhi’s tenure as Prime Minister, there were large-scale protests for a ban on cow slaughter. Many saints died in that movement. Cows were slaughtered right in the presence of Indira. Cows were shot dead too. Famous monk Karpatri Maharaj cursed Indira Gandhi. It was because of his curse that Indira was killed on Gopashthami day. Indira’s son Sanjay Gandhi also died under the curse of cow slaughter,” Ananth Kumar explained.

MP Ananth Kumar’s comments have sparked outrage in Karnataka as well as across the country. The Congress party strongly condemned his comments. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah criticized the language used by Ananth Kumar for political purposes as a reflection of his low culture. He said that it is impossible to expect good language from him. AICC leaders are also responding to Ananth Kumar’s comments. The Congress circles regretfully objected to making such comments on Indira, a great leader who had rendered excellent services to the country.
