Key development in Delhi Liquor Scam case: Abhishek granted bail

A key development has taken place in the Delhi Liquor Scam case. The Supreme Court has granted interim bail for four weeks to one of the accused in the case, Abhishek Boinapally. Abhishek Boinapally petitioned for bail due to his wife’s illness. The Supreme Court granted the bail. The court gave him permission to get her treated in Hyderabad. However, Abhishek Boinapally was ordered that he could go to Hyderabad only with the permission of the trial court.

SC said that the orders come into force from the time the bail order is granted by the trial court. It revealed that the trial court will specify the remaining bail terms in their orders. The next hearing was adjourned to April 29. Abhishek Boinapally is not allowed to go abroad. The Supreme Court has issued orders to surrender his passport.

The apex court directed that he should give a mobile number to the ED officials and provide his information to the concerned officials from time to time. In the same case, BRS MLC Kavitha is facing interrogation in the custody of ED officials.
