Lok Sabha Elections: Second round of notification released, Nominations in 88 parliamentary seats!

The general election battle has commenced into the second phase of the election process. On Thursday morning, the EC issued notifications for 88 seats as part of the second phase of elections. This includes polling scheduled for April 26 for 88 Lok Sabha seats across 12 states and Union Territories, as well as one seat in Outer Manipur. Nominations must be filed by April 4.

Scrutiny of nominations for 11 states and union territories excluding Jammu and Kashmir will take place on April 5. In Jammu, the scrutiny of name papers will occur on April 6. Elections in the second phase will be conducted in Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Manipur. Additionally, by-elections will be held for the Akola West assembly constituency in Maharashtra and the Bhagidora assembly seat in Rajasthan.
