No alliance with any party, We will fight alone: Mayawati

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has denied the reports that have been circulating for the past few days that they will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in UP with the Congress party. Speaking to the media today on the issue of alliance, she announced that her party will contest the Lok Sabha elections alone. She declared that BSP is fully prepared and will fight the Lok Sabha general elections in the country with its own strength. She clarified that all the news about an electoral alliance or the formation of a third front is rumours.

Even though Mayawati decided to go solo during the last Lok Sabha elections, she surprised everyone after that. She allied with her rival Samajwadi Party. Likewise, even if Mayawati says that her party will contest the Lok Sabha elections alone this time too, analysts say that she may change her word after the election schedule is released. It is said that the alliance of BSP and Congress will benefit both parties in western Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, it is known that BSP has formed an alliance with Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana for the Lok Sabha elections.
