Kamal spoke to the media after the meeting with the CM. He announced that his party is not contesting in this election. He said that he would extend his full support to the ruling DMK and Congress alliance in Tamil Nadu. It seems that Kamal took this decision in the wake of the DMK-led alliance agreeing to give one Rajya Sabha seat to the MNM party in the 2025 Rajya Sabha elections. As part of the agreement, the MNM party will campaign on behalf of the alliance in 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and one seat in Puducherry.
