PM Modi Praises Gaganyaan: India Inch Closer To Manned Mission

ISRO today carried out an ambitious launch as part of India’s Gaganyaan mission. The experimental ‘Test Vehicle Abort Mission’ (TV-D1) was successfully conducted on Saturday. The crew module was launched into the sky by a rocket, after which the crew module separated from the rocket and landed safely in the Bay of Bengal with the help of a parachute.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed happiness over the success of TV-D1 launch. India has taken another step closer towards its first manned space programme. “This launch will take India one step closer to realizing Gaganyaan, India’s first manned space flight programme. My best wishes to our scientists at ISRO,” the Prime Minister posted on Twitter.

ISRO intends to carry out a manned space mission through ‘Gaganyaan’. Experiments are being conducted regarding this. The latest launch of TV-D1 was carried out today. Although the experiment was supposed to be conducted at 8 am as per an earlier plan, due to a technical problem, it was successfully conducted at 10 am. In this experiment, crew escape system (CES) was tested to land the astronauts on Earth.
