Amit Shah To Visit Telangana: Is It For the Lok Sabha Elections?

The festive fervour of the Telangana assembly elections has concluded, revealing a significant political shift. The ruling BRS government, which secured 39 seats, now assumes the role of the opposition party, while the Congress party claims governance with a triumphant win of 64 seats. The newly elected Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, leads the state. In contrast, the BJP, which had only one seat in the previous 2018 elections, witnessed a noteworthy turnaround, with Rughunandan Rao and Etala Rajender securing victories later. The party now holds a total of three MLAs, having collectively won eight seats in the recent election. The Kamalam Party has also experienced a surge in its vote bank, setting its sights on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In anticipation of this political momentum, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Telangana, as announced by BJP state president Kishan Reddy. Amit Shah’s visit on the 28th of this month includes a meeting with mandal presidents at Kongarakalan village in Ibrahimpatnam, Rangareddy district. This marks Shah’s first visit to the state since the Telangana assembly elections. Given the defeats of key leaders like Bandi Sanjay, Etala Rajender, Dharmapuri Arvind, and Raghunandan Rao in the recent elections, it is expected that Amit Shah will provide crucial directives to party seniors regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, emphasizing the imperative of winning more MP seats.
