Did an Andhra BJP Rajya Sabha MP really fund the T-Congress?

The Telangana Assembly elections concluded on Thursday. Polling was peaceful, except for sporadic incidents. Over the past few months, there has been a fierce fight between all major political parties across the state. The primary competition has been between the ruling BRS and the strong contender Congress. In this context, there are whispers that a BJP Rajya Sabha MP from Andhra financially supported the Congress party in this election.

It is shocking that a Rajya Sabha MP from the ruling BJP, who owns construction companies in Telangana and hails from Kadapa district, has supported his opposition party, the Congress, in the backdrop of the Telangana elections. This MP, who was earlier elected to the Rajya Sabha from the TDP, allegedly funded the T-Congress upon the orders of his previous boss.

In reality, the BJP and Congress parties are antithetical to each other. The central leadership of the BJP is striving hard to suppress the Congress in Telangana, with PM Narendra Modi, central home minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda campaigning vigorously for their candidates. Correspondingly, in light of the current assembly elections, the IT department conducted many surprise raids and searches in the homes of Telangana Congress candidates, seemingly to intimidate them.

In this context, the news of the BJP MP’s support for the Congress party has become a hot topic in the political circles of both Telugu states. On the other hand, it is quite clear that his previous boss and current TDP supremo, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has openly supported the Congress party in the Telangana elections. Congress sources are openly discussing that Chandrababu orchestrated this entire affair. In any case, this matter has become a sensational topic in the BJP circles, and we need to wait and see what action will be taken against this MP by the central leadership of the party.
