Bhatti Vikramarka counters BRS on Formula E race cancellation

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that there is no benefit to the state from Formula E’s E-Prix. He refuted the allegations against the government by Former ministers and BRS leaders regarding the Formula E Race. He clarified that according to Secretariat Business Rules, the Formula E Race cannot be permitted. “Should we pay Rs 100 crores to someone to come to Hyderabad?” He asked. He said that this is against the rules of business.

He clarified that every penny would be spent on the needs of the people of the state. He accused the previous government of compromising the interests of the state.

“The former ministers are making unnecessary allegations about the Formula E race. They are alleging that the government has not taken proper steps in the matter of the E-Prix and that there would be a loss due to the withdrawal of the race. But there is no loss for us in its withdrawal,” clarified Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka.
