Congress gets ready to empty BRS: Targets KCR’s LP before LS elections

Congress hopes to repeat history in politics and is designing strategies accordingly. The party will use the same formula to attack KCR, which BRS previously used when they merged Congress’s Legislative Party (CLP) into BRS. As Congress is currently in power in the state, many MLAs from the Pink Party are showing interest in joining the Congress. Discussions in this regard are also continuing. The ruling party is set to take steps to completely weaken KCR politically by merging BRSLP as a whole into Congress.

Polling for Lok Sabha elections will be held in Telangana state on May 13. It is known that Congress intends to complete the merger process of BRSLP by then. Their main objective is to make the BRS devoid of leaders to work at the field level during the Lok Sabha elections. As a part of that, the MLA of Khairatabad in Greater Hyderabad Danam Nagender has already said goodbye to BRS and joined Congress. At present, BRS has 15 MLAs under GHMC. It is being heard in the party circles that the majority of the legislators are queuing up to switch to Congress.

Party leaders are spreading the word that around 30 BRS MLAs are ready to join the Congress. It is said that CM Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka are holding discussions with the MLAs who are going to join the party. It is reported that MLAs from Greater Hyderabad will be joined first followed by MLAs from Medak and Karimnagar districts. It is said that Congress has set a target to complete the merger of BRSLP before the Lok Sabha elections by inducting the MLAs into the party in a phased manner.
