Big alert for vehicle owners with pending challans as the government deadline for discounted traffic fine payment ends Thursday at midnight. It’s known that a discount on pending challans was announced on December 26 last year. If anyone still has pending challans, the police are advising to clear them immediately.

A 90% discount on pending challans has been announced for RTC buses and auto-rickshaws, an 80% discount on bikes, a 60% Discount on Four-wheelers and Autos, and 50% Off for Lorries and Other Heavy Vehicles. So far, the government has amassed over Rs. 300 crores in revenue from discounted pending challans. The deadline for the discount on pending challans ends today. Officials state that these challans can be paid through MeeSeva centres, online, and UPI options.
