Dunki Disappoints at the Box Office, Finds Redemption on OTT

Shah Rukh Khan’s, “Dunki,” directed by Rajkumar Hirani, hit theatres on December 21 last year, competing with “Salaar.” Despite high anticipation, the film failed to perform well at the box office, earning only Rs. 470 crore. Recently, it was released on OTT platforms, marking its digital debut. The announcement was made by the filmmakers on social media.

‘Dunki’ is now available for streaming on Netflix after initially scheduled for January. Its release on the platform came unexpectedly without any prior announcement. Despite Shah Rukh Khan’s recent successes with ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’ in 2023, ‘Dunki’ seems to have fallen short of expectations.
