Has Congress set the stage for Telangana Cabinet Expansion?

Has the deadline for the expansion of the Telangana cabinet been fixed? Based on the information from inside sources, this news seems to be true. On December 7, the Congress government that came to power in the assembly elections took oath along with the CM and 11 other ministers. Despite CM Revanth Reddy’s previous inclination to maintain the current state governance team until the parliamentary elections, it now appears that he believes appointing different individuals is necessary to secure victory in the parliamentary elections. The talk is that he wants to put each minister in charge of each parliament.

The Revanth government, which has already announced the in-charges for some parliamentary seats, now wants to hand over the responsibilities to the ministers in all the seats. CM Revanth Reddy is in charge of the Chevella and Mahbubnagar segments. Ponguleti is in charge of Khammam, Uttam is in charge of Nalgonda, Ponnam Prabhakar is in charge of Karimnagar and Bhatti is in charge of Adilabad. In order to announce the in-charges for the remaining positions as well, the Congress high command wants to expand the cabinet first. Accordingly, it seems that Revanth has prepared a list of ministers to be included in his team.

Along with Revanth, 11 ministers have taken oath. The Congress government is yet to decide on six other ministers. For these appointments, it seems that priority will be given to those who are seniors in the party as well as those who are loyal to the party. It is said that to increase their strength in the greater area, there is a chance that Congress will give ministerial posts to those who have been defeated in assembly elections or those who have been loyal to the party.

Feroz Khan, who contested from Nampally, lost the election. It seems that since there is no Muslim popular leader in the Congress party, Feroz has a chance to become an MLC and become a minister. It is said that former Minister Shabbir Ali may get a chance as a minister for sacrificing the Kamareddy seat for Revanth. One of the two has been confirmed as a minister, but Mainampally Hanmantha Rao is also trying for the post of minister. The names of Anjan Kumar Yadav and Madhu Yaskhi are also being considered for cabinet expansion. It seems that the name of Jeevan Reddy, who is an MLC, is being considered for inclusion in the ministerial category. It is reported that the names of Chinnareddy, who was declared as the MLA candidate and then set aside, and the name of Addanki Dayakar, who is loyal to the party despite not getting a ticket, are being considered.

The sitting MLAs are also pinning their hopes on the post of minister. One of the Gaddam brothers has a chance of getting a ministerial position as well. The names of Bodan MLA Sudarshan Reddy, Ellareddy MLA Madhan Mohan Rao, and Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy are also rumoured to be in the race for a minister post. In the background of Revanth repeatedly saying that Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju is still staying in Indiramma’s house, it is reported that Congress is working to set an example by giving ministerial posts to such commoners.

Congress hopes to promote MLAs who won from BC castes. Revanth repeatedly mentions the names of Aleru MLA Beerla Ilaiah from the Kuruma community and Shadnagar MLA Veerlapally Shankar from the Rajaka community. The names of Devarakonda MLA Balu Nayak belonging to the Lambda community and Makthal MLA Srihari Mudiraj belonging to the Mudiraj community are also under consideration for minister posts.
