Kadiyam Srihari’s Sensational Comments: What Is He Hinting At?

Assembly elections in Telangana were held on November 30 and the results were announced on December 3. In these elections, the BRS party, which was in power for nearly 10 years, lost power. On November 7, Revanth Reddy was sworn in as the new CM, from the Congress party which secured the majority required to form the government with 64 seats. While all was going well until this point, the comments made by Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari within the first two days of the formation of the Congress government are causing a sensation. From his words, it is clear that the BRS party is planning something to topple the Congress government.

Kadiyam’s Sensational Comments

While saying that KCR will come out like a lion soon, he indirectly inferred a few points when he said the Congress government will be in power only for six months or a year. He has been talking like this since the day he won as MLA. Earlier, Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh also commented that the Congress government will last for only one year, and Kadiyam’s comments gained importance.

‘Anything can happen at any time..!’

Kadiyam Srihari said that the BRS party got 39 seats in the assembly elections. There are seven MLAs with their ally MIM. Similarly, he said, the BJP got eight seats and the BJP is against Congress. Thus, if all of them are added, it will be 54 seats. He then went on to make controversial comments that the Congress MLAs are in confusion, the coming of the BRS government is not a big problem and anything can happen at any time.

Counter to Kadiyam

Looking at the comments of Kadiyam Srihari and Raja Singh, it seems that the allegations made before the election that the Congress, BJP and BRS are one and the same may be true. Analysts say that the public should not be surprised even if the two parties unite to topple the Congress government, even though they are now saying they are not one. In the 2014 elections, the BRS party won only 63 seats. But then BRS continued the government for a full term. In the latest elections, the Congress garnered 65 seats if we include the 1 seat of CPI as well. It is in this background that people are countering Kadiyam’s comments by asking why can’t Congress maintain their government for a full term.
