Maoist Party Letter To Congress Govt: ‘Stop Labeling Us As Urban Naxalites And Maoists’

The State Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) has alleged that Telangana has been under anti-people autocratic rule for a decade. So BRS party was defeated by the people and sent home. Maoist spokesperson Jagan released a statement.

They declared that the Congress came to power, not because they would provide good governance and fully implement the manifesto, but due to people’s hatred of BRS. They said that after the formation of the state, there was more looting than the looting that took place in the Union state. That is why people from all walks of life are angry with the BRS government, KCR, and KCR’s family.

Revanth Reddy, after assuming the post of CM, said that the people are the rulers and we are the servants. He said that he would ask the Congress party, which states that the people are the rulers, about democracy. People want Telangana without encounters. Is it possible to build an encounter-free Telangana? People are demanding the release of political prisoners who have been languishing in jail for years. Can it be released? They questioned.

They requested to stop the UAPA Act and NIA raids and stop labelling them as urban Naxalites and Maoists and framing them in illegal cases. They asked, “Dismiss the illegal cases and restore Dharna Chowk without restrictions.” They said that people want to continue the rule of law without any violation of civil rights and freedom. They demanded that the Dharani portal be abolished, surplus land in the state and government wasteland be distributed to agricultural labourers, environmental destruction done in the name of projects, and people’s problems be addressed. Dependent jobs should be filled immediately. They demanded that workers’ wages and casual workers should be made permanent. They want to set up a train coach factory in Kazipet.
