No Settling Time For Congress? BRS Criticising After Mere 10 Days?

It has not even been a week since Congress came to power in Telangana but the BRS Party leaders already started criticizing the government. While the Congress government is focusing on fulfilling its promises, unfortunately, BRS Working President Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) started criticizing them. It is not reasonable to launch a counter-attack without giving even a hundred days to the newly formed government. Analysts feel that the attack of criticism from the moment the government came to power is not something to be happy about and a honeymoon period should be given to the new regime. They are stating that some time will be needed to review the BRS government’s legacy, which ruled for ten years and study the actual and comprehensive conditions of the state.

The cabinet has not been assembled yet and the bureaucracy has not been adjusted as well. In this context, many people say that starting criticism of the government already is not commendable. It is widely being said that the government should be given some time. But BRS does not seem to be hearing any of this. The attack of criticism started from the day the government was formed. BRS has started criticizing everything from the job of Rajani, a disabled woman, to the election of the Speaker. Recently, the comments made by KTR during the election of the Speaker caused a lot of uproar. Intellectuals are saying it is wrong of KTR to criticise the government merely five days after the formation of the government. BRS ranks are criticizing and countering the Congress Party on social media platforms.

Apart from that, after the announcement of the election results the BRS MLAs were already warning that the Congress government would be overthrown. Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Kadiyam Srihari and others made similar comments. Political analysts say that such comments do not work in a democracy. It is natural to feel the pain of losing power. But it is a tradition in democracy to appreciate the elected government and give it some time. They said that BRS as a political party needs to follow such a tradition. Everyone is wrong about the hasty criticism of BRS. The newly formed government needs to focus on the governance mechanism after getting up to speed with all the departments. This process may take about six months. Intellectuals say that it should be left to the BRS party cognizance whether to criticise even before this period.
