Seethakka Fires at Harish Rao: “Do Women Need Free Buses or Not?”

The budget sessions in the Assembly are continuing energetically on the second day. The discussion on the motion of thanks for the Governor’s speech led to mutual criticisms. The BRS has targeted Congress on the issue of auto drivers. Minister Seethakka fiercely criticized Harish Rao in the Assembly. She questioned, “What problem do you have if women travel for free on buses?”

Minister Seethakka said that the purpose of BRS leaders is to provoke emotions. She directed her criticism at Harish Rao, saying, “You failed to find even a matchstick and made light of the tragic deaths of hundreds of children.” Ponnam Prabhakar also lashed out at Harish Rao. He stated that their government spent Rs 530 crores on free bus tickets. Ponnam questioned, “Did you even provide a thousand rupees per month to auto drivers in ten years?” He alleged that the government ignored the RTC workers’ plight, even after a 60-day strike.
