Singareni CMD N Sridhar finally transferred after a 9-year unlawful tenure

Singareni’s SCCL CMD N. Sridhar has been transferred. He took charge as SCCL CMD on January 1, 2015, and continued for a long period of 9 years. Recently, the government issued orders to report him in GAD. The government has issued an order handing over the responsibilities of Singareni Finance Director, in his place, to N Balaram as the in-charge CMD. Meanwhile, the officials are saying that under Sridhar’s nine-year term, he did not care about any number of manipulations in the organization and that political interference in Singareni increased tremendously during his tenure.

Whatever the KCR government goes!

During Sridhar’s tenure, he was embroiled in controversies as well as successes. There were reports that he used to do whatever the KCR government said. It seems that Sridhar has been continued in the same organization as the state government has complete authority in the matter of appointment of CMD, no matter how many objections the Centre had expressed. Sridhar’s original tenure ended on December 31, 2016. However, the KCR govt gave extensions once for two years and twice for one year. The rules say that he cannot hold this post for more than five years. But Sridhar has completed nine years as CMD. The central government has also raised objections to continuing Sridhar as Singareni CMD, in January 2021. However, with the help of the then-state government, an ordinary resolution was passed and he continued in office.
