Telangana TET 2024: New Exam Format and Application Details

Good news for Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2024 aspirants! The exam format has been revamped to offer more flexibility.

Key changes:

• Bilingual question papers: This year, exams will be conducted in English and ten other languages, including Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Gujarati.
• Increased weightage for TET marks: TET scores will now hold a 20% weightage in the District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment process.
• Separate papers for different levels: Paper 1 caters to candidates aiming to teach up to Class 5, while Paper 2 targets those aspiring to teach Classes 6 to 8.

Examination fees:

• The exam fee structure has been revised.
• Applying for a single paper costs Rs. 1000.
• Opting for both papers incurs a fee of Rs. 2000.
• Previously, the fee for both papers was Rs. 400, regardless of attempting one. This change has caused some concern among candidates, potentially due to the online exam format.

Important Dates:

• Application window: March 27th – April 10th, 2024
• Exam dates: May 20th – June 3rd, 2024
• Result declaration: June 12th, 2024
