Telangana’s Grace Period for Vehicle Fines Ends No More Extensions
The government’s grace period for pending vehicle fines in Telangana have concluded on Thursday. Initially set to end on January 10, then extended to January 31 and further to February 15, this extension marked the third time. Officials emphasized that there would be no further extensions beyond this deadline.

Since the concession announcement for pending vehicle fines, Rs. 150.3 crore has been collected from 1.67 crore vehicles. Hyderabad Commissionerate topped the collection with Rs. 37.14 crores, while Mulugu district recorded the lowest amount at Rs. 19.15 lakhs. However, only 46.36% of the pending fines have been cleared. Last year, the government offered discounts of 80% for two and three-wheelers, 50% for light and heavy vehicles, and 90% for RTC buses on pending fines.
