TS Government: Cancellation Of Appointments Of Government Advisers

The newly formed Congress government in Telangana has taken a critical decision. The Telangana government has cancelled the appointments of government advisers appointed by the previous government. Chief Secretary Shanthakumari has issued an order to cancel the appointments of advisors appointed in the BRS government. CS cancelled the appointments of seven advisors.

Somesh Kumar as Government Advisers, Rajeev Sharma as Principal Adviser to Government, SK Joshi as Irrigation Adviser, KV Ramana Chari as Culture and Debt Adviser (recently resigned), Shobha as Chief Adviser in Forest Conservation, Anurag Sharma as Home Adviser, AK Khan as Muslim Minority Welfare Adviser, GR Reddy and Sivashankar as special officers in the Finance department, Sudhakar Teja in the R&B department, Chennamaneni Ramesh as the chief advisor of agriculture, Rajendra Prasad Singh in the energy sector and Srinivas Rao in the horticulture department. The CS has issued the latest orders cancelling the appointments of the above people.

Among them, Chennamaneni Ramesh worked as the Chief Advisor to the Agriculture Department. He worked as MLA of Vemulawada; KCR did not give a ticket in the last election. Chennamane was appointed as Chief Advisor of the Agriculture Department. He was supposed to have a five-year tenure, but when the Congress government came, his position was withdrawn. As for the others, Both Someshkumar and Rajeevsharma are former chief secretaries of government. After completing their term as CSs, the then Chief Minister KCR gave them the posts of advisers.
