TS Government Implements Rigorous Measures for Ration Card E-KYC, Sets January 31 Deadline

The Telangana government is implementing robust measures to prevent the diversion of ration rice, ensuring that only eligible cardholders receive their entitlement. The ongoing verification of ration cards is a pivotal step in this process. Beneficiaries, along with the family head, are required to visit the government ration shop in their locality and undergo KYC. Directives from the Telangana Civil Supplies Commissioner instruct Civil Supplies Officers and Tehsildars in all districts to conduct this verification exclusively at ration shops.

The State Civil Supplies Department has officially declared January 31 as the deadline for the E-KYC process of ration cards, a procedure underway for the past two months in Telangana. Commissioner Devender Singh Chauhan issued an order urging beneficiaries to complete the KYC process before the specified deadline.

In the E-KYC process, dealers are collecting Aadhaar verification, fingerprints, and eye scans at designated ration shops.
